Thoughts:

  • Lots of teams had major jumps in my rankings this week, they included the Saints, Bears, Eagles and the Rams. Two of those teams the Saints and Bears were teams I just grossly undervalued. Till I saw them play I had a hard time justifying a high ranking. They looked pretty darn good in beating quality teams, which is why they jumped into my top ten.
  • On the flip side there were a few teams that took big drops, they were the Giants, Vikings, Redskins and the Steelers. The Steelers were decimated by injuries but they didn’t even look good before the dominoes started to fall. The Giants were turnover happy, I don’t expect them to continue turning the ball over like that but they’ve got to take a drop. The Redskins well they looked like a team with a quarterback who just started practicing and skipped every preseason game. The Vikings well I just overvalued them to start the season
  • Denver takes over the top spot after their performance against the Ravens. A lot of people will argue the Niners should have that spot and they’ve got a good argument. I just thought the Broncos were more impressive.
  • I moved Seattle up based on they won and others in front of them lost. It was a hard decision as I wasn’t impressed by them one bit. They struggled with a Carolina that’s really not that good. Even if they win this week, I may drop them some if they don’t show improvement.
  • Jacksonville takes over the bottom spot after their horrendous performance against the Chiefs. It’s a fitting spot for them too now that they’re without Blaine Gabbert.
